This week on our podcast, Raising Adults: Future Focused Parenting we talked about kids and education. It’s a huge topic and one that most parents take very seriously as a solid educational foundation can set our children up for a lifetime of success.
As a future focused parent, I was hopeful my twins would enter kindergarten with basic reading skills. They are old for their grade and it seemed developmentally appropriate.
Towards the end of the summer they still couldn’t pronounce “cat”. A friend recommended education.com as a wonderful place to find fun, easily accessible resources for kids.
I was so impressed by way I found there! Worksheets, games and more, all of which meet your child where they were at, most of which are themed by the season or current holiday which makes learning fun, relevant and engaging.
Within three days of playing a site word board game and doing a few fun worksheets my son had his lightbulb moment and, quite literally, hasn’t looked back. Suffice it to say, neither have I, and I continue to use them as my kids move through their elementary years.
So, when education.com offered a free worksheet for our All Things Birth and Baby and Raising Adults Podcast communities, I was thrilled to be able to pass along this valuable resource for other future focused parents!
