This form of therapy focuses on regulating cerebrospinal fluid through therapeutic touch. Generally, the patient’s skull, face, spine and pelvis are the targeted touch points for the practitioner. In babies, CST can assist with adapting to life outside the womb. This gentle work supports sleep and feeding patterns, and may help resolve misalignment of the spine or head, particularly for babies born by instrumental delivery (vacuum or forceps) or cesarean.
