Postpartum/Early Parenting

As you begin life with your new baby, there are many things you may want to consider. All Things Birth and Baby is here to help! Look through our Postpartum/Early Parenting directory to find fantastic resources including those that follow.

Perhaps you are still physically healing from your birth? If so, check out our Bodywork category for our list of massage practitioners and providers of techniques like craniosacral therapy for you or your little one. Or maybe you would like to work on regaining your pre-pregnancy physique? We have multiple listings in our Fitness section, including FIT4MOM classes and postnatal yoga, and we also have both a dedicated Nutrition section and additional listings for Naturopaths.

For those of you nursing, you can use our Breastfeeding Support section to research breastfeeding supplies. Should you face any breastfeeding challenges, consider meeting with one of our listed lactation consultants.

Educating yourself is another facet of early parenting. Many families take classes as parents, and still others attend classes with their infants. All Things Birth and Baby offers myriad Class Listings including baby sign language for communicating with your infant, Mommy and Me activities, and baby wearing education. CPR/First Aid classes are also available for families who are interested in learning more about safety and handling emergencies.

Surrounding yourself with great support in the postpartum and early parenting phase is essential. Our Counselors/ Parent Coaches section includes counselors/therapists, parent coaches and Support Groups for everything from breastfeeding to multiples and more. The Postpartum Doulas in our directory work hard (even at night!) to assist families in transitioning to life with their new baby. If getting good sleep is an issue, hire one of our Sleep Consultants to help with extending nighttime sleep or solving nap issues. Other Services include things like diaper services, or you can find the perfect caregiver in our Childcare section, which includes our nanny services listings. We also provide a section on Special Needs Support.

Don’t forget to capture the wonderful “firsts” during baby’s development. Our Newborn Photographers would welcome the opportunity to help you preserve precious memories! And for a break, or some self-led education, check out our listings for Parenting Blogs.

We trust that with the comprehensive list of practitioners at All Things Birth and Baby, you will be able to embark on the postpartum period and early parenting with less stress and more joy!
