I have been a personal and small group fitness trainer for the past 6+ years and have now expanded into the realm of postpartum doula work. I have a passion for helping women and families in their journey into parenthood!
General Postpartum Fitness
Every women is different and every body is different – and fortunately the Greater Seattle area has a range of classes that will suit every exercise need and preference.
You can find some specific classes elsewhere in the directory (e.g. boot camps, FIT4MOM classes, Postnatal yoga and specific Stroller Strides classes), and below you can find other classes that may also be of interest.
You should check with your primary care provider about when you are ready for exercise, as you may need to wait 6 or more weeks before engaging in strenuous exercise – and your routine may require modification if your pregnancy or birth led to muscular (e.g. diastasis) or skeletal conditions.
