I have been serving expectant and new families for over fifteen years and have only grown in my love for this work over that time. I began as a doula, childbirth educator and infant ASL instructor, earning certifications from DONA, PALS, ICEA and Sign2Me. I later moved into sleep consulting and birth consulting using an eclectic approach based on my extensive experience. I also offer infant parenting support through in-person classes or virtual coaching. My passion is enabling parents to embark on their birth and parenting journey with confidence and joy rather than uncertainty and fear. I seek to introduce my clients to strategies that are not only easily implemented but also customizable to match their priorities, philosophies and needs. Sleep consulting, birth consulting and infant parenting support are offered virtually, allowing you to receive assistance in the comfort of your own home. Infant parenting classes are in-person on the eastside.
Sleep consultants work with families to establish healthy sleep patterns for their children. Many consultants work with not only babies, but toddlers or older children as well. Nighttime sleep, naps and sleep routines can all be addressed. Sleep consultants work with their clients' differing parenting styles and priorities to establish a plan uniquely suited to their needs.

It’s really all about utilizing two powerful tools. First, when using Future Focused Parenting, you will operate from a strong “why.” This means you as the parent(s) decide (preferably in advance) the foundation for your parenting choices. This way, you’ll always understand the why behind the what in your parenting, for everything from behavior expectations to how you spend family vacation time.
Secondly, Future Focused Parenting uses long-term thinking. Rather than what seems easy or expedient in the moment, you will choose what is best in the long run. You’ll be thinking ahead to how this particular event or moment will shape your child(ren) as they grow. As such, you are thinking less about the “what” of the desired behavior at the time, and more about the “who” of the person you envision your child becoming as an adult.

I am thoroughly dedicated to giving babies, parents and the whole family the good night’s sleep that they deserve. My passion for helping other families stemmed from my own personal experience since becoming a Mom to an energetic and playful little boy. I trained extensively through an international accredited company in New Zealand and have been serving the Greater Puget Sound area since 2015.
With the understanding of health, science and biological facts in relation to babies sleep, I am a firm believer of fostering healthy sleep habits from birth. I’m a certified Gentle Sleep CoachTM with a Master’s degree in Infant Mental Health. I’m also on the faculty of Antioch University’s Counseling Psychology program and conduct my own research on infant sleep and parenting advice. Plus, I'm the mom of two intense, non-sleeping babies (both young adult, expert sleepers). I know how hard this sleep thing can be. I also know that babies and children often need help to improve sleep and this doesn’t have to include crying-it-out. My approach is gradual and can be tailored to fit a variety of contexts (including cosleeping, room-sharing, and night-nursing).
Spirited? High needs? Highly sensitive? Alert? I specialize in working with parents of little ones who are “more” – intense, sensitive, perceptive, intense, active. These little ones require a specific approach that takes this temperament into account. Sleep books weren’t written for these little dynamos and parents often need even more support just to keep up.
