Prenatal Services

While the time spent preparing for a baby‘s arrival is certainly exciting, it can also be filled with uncertainty and apprehension. Taking the best care of yourself and your baby is vital, and choosing the proper practitioners to have on your support team can sometimes feel overwhelming. At All Things Birth and Baby, our Prenatal Services section aims to reduce this stress and help families surround themselves with excellent care in the prenatal period.

Perhaps you have yet to choose a practitioner for your prenatal care and the birth of your baby. Our Care Providers section offers many options from OBGYNs to homebirth midwives and everything in between.

You may find yourself seeking to prioritize your health during this important time. We have sections on Fitness (general prenatal fitness, prenatal yoga and more) and Nutrition to assist you in maintaining the healthiest pregnancy possible. Searching for solutions to pregnancy discomforts or seeking to maintain balance and energy? We offer myriad Bodywork practitioners in fields ranging from acupuncture to chiropractic care to pregnancy massage.

Many expectant families choose to take a birth class to prepare for the delivery of their baby. Other families are interested in supplemental classes on topics such as newborn care or car seat safety. Our Classes category contains multiple options for birth classes tailored to different birth philosophies as well as other baby preparation and safety courses. This section can also help you understand the differences between a traditional childbirth class, The Bradley Method, HypnoBirthing, Lamaze and more. We also feature Prenatal Parent Coaches, for those thinking ahead to the dual challenges and joys of parenthood.

Many expectant couples don't realize that finding Childcare for your baby should be done in this phase.  If both parents are returning to work it is a good idea to give some thought as to what type of childcare you would prefer.  Typical choices include daycare, a nanny, or a nanny share.  It is important to know that daycares often have waitlists of up to one year.

You may wish to mark this special season of life with a keepsake. The Maternity Photos/Belly Art section provides listings of photographers, henna artists, and more.

Finally, we also include a section on Pregnancy Loss Support so that families experiencing miscarriage or infant loss can find the support they need.

We invite you to peruse our extensive Prenatal Services directory, and wish you the best as you surround your growing family with providers and services tailored to your unique situation and needs!
