Prenatal Yoga/Pilates

Prenatal Yoga or Pilates focuses on exercises that help pregnant women stay in shape, prepare their body for birth, relieve discomforts and find calm amidst all of the changes pregnancy can bring. This can include postures and stretches that help with the aches, pains and energy challenges of pregnancy – and may include specific exercises to work on the perineum and deep abdominal muscles. As with most prenatal fitness classes, you should check with your primary care provider about which exercise are best suited to your pregnancy.
